Dental implants are a permanent replacement for single or multiple missing teeth. A dental implant is a small titanium shaft that is surgically implanted into your jaw bone and allowed to heal. The bone grows around the implant, holding it firmly in place. Once the bone has completely healed, we attach a crown or implant bridge to the implant.
Dental implants have several advantages over bridges. They don’t stress the surrounding teeth, the crown can easily be replaced if it is damaged or worn out, and they prevent bone loss in your jaws.
An implant bridge is similar to a partial denture, except it is mounted to one or more dental implants instead of attached with clips or suction. Implant bridges are secure, don’t need to be removed for cleaning, and help preserve the integrity of your jawbones.
We also offer mini implants. These tiny implants, only half the size of traditional implants, are normally used to secure dentures. They are more affordable than full size implants and can be placed in one appointment.
